The event drew an unprecedented gathering of over 1,000 members of the legal fraternity, including Hon’ble Judges of the Supreme Court and Delhi High Court, Additional Solicitor Generals of India, and senior Standing Counsels representing the Government of India.
Also in attendance were the President, Vice President, and distinguished members of the Supreme Court Bar Association, the Delhi High Court Bar Association, and representatives from various District Court Bar Associations, making the evening a rare and powerful moment of unity within India’s legal community.
The gathering commenced with a solemn one-minute silence in remembrance of the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam—an expression of collective mourning and national solidarity.
Starring Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan, Ananya Panday, and Amit Sial, Kesari Chapter 2 explores a stirring chapter from India’s colonial history: the legal crusade launched by Indian lawyers against the British Empire following the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The film highlights the brave legal efforts to bring imperial injustice to account, portraying courtrooms as battlegrounds of resistance and valor.
Addressing the gathering, Advocate Vineet Dhanda—who also serves as Chairman of the National Anti-Doping Agency’s Disciplinary Committee and is a former Assistant Solicitor General of India—remarked:
