Faridabad Hindustan ab tak/Dinesh Bhardwaj : Independence Day celebrated on August 15 every year marks the day India gained independence from British rule. The day is marked with grand celebrations in the schools every year but keeping in purview the restrictions due to corona virus, the 74th Independence Day was celebrated as per the new normal i.e. online.
The webcast of the principal hoisting the tri-colour in the school campus and receiving the salute marked the advent of the grand celebration. Motivational speeches and poetry recitals paying a tribute to the great leaders and soldiers set the tone for the event and encouraged everyone to arise and shine and promote secularism. Everyone was apprised with the significance of kite flying on this day and the role of teachers in building a nation. The medley of patriotic songs and dance fusion performed by the talented students and teachers enthralled everyone.
Mr. Arjun Joshi, Director, Goodearth Foudation and Ms. Arpita Chakraborty, Principal, Eicher School, Faridabad appreciated the hard work of the staff and students of the school and congratulated them for putting up a great show on a digital platform. They encouraged everyone to stand together in the face of crisis and value the true essence of freedom. The event culminated with slogans of Jai Hind and Vande Mataram.
