J.C. Bose University celebrated National Voter’s Day
Faridabad Hindustan ab tak/Dinesh Bhardwaj : 24 January With a view to urge first time voters to actively participate in democracy building exercise and casting of votes during elections, the students of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad celebrated National Voter’s Day at University campus.
In the various activities which were organized at the university campus to mark National Voters Day, the students participated in the essay writing and poster making competitions. On this occasion, the students also pledged to participate in the democracy building exercise. The activity was conducted by the NSS and Electoral Literacy Club of the University. The event was concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants.
Appreciating the activities conducted by the Electoral Literacy Club, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar said that it is commendable that the young generation is aware about their rights and understand the importance of right to vote. He said that it is important to encourage student’s participation in democracy building exercise as it is concern to the society and the nation as a whole.
Dean, Management Studies Dr. Arvind Gupta, Director, Youth Welfare Dr. Pradeep Dimri and Dy. Dean Student Welfare Dr. Sonia were also present on this occasion.
