Pre-Olympic International E-Dialogue Series, 2021 at Manav Rachna
Faridabad Hindustan ab tak/Dinesh Bhardwaj : 30 June Manav Rachna International Institute of Research & Studies organized the Pre-Olympic International E- Dialogue Series, 2021. The theme of the event was Sports, Science and Society: Instilling Olympic Spirit and was held under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India on June 30, 2021.
A total of 20 internationally & nationally renowned speakers lent support to this historical virtual Pre- Olympic International E-Dialogue Series.
The eminent speakers were from countries like Malaysia, Philippines, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Singapore, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Austria and India joined hand together for this dialogue series.
The Pre-Olympic International E-Dialogue Series was inaugurated virtually with gracious presence of eminent personalities and almost 500 participants.
The inaugural speech was addressed by Honourable Chief Guest and Padma Shri awardee Dr. M.P GANESH “The Hockey Olympian”.
Mr. Ahmad Faedzal Md Ramli, Chief Executive Officer-National Sports Institute Malaysia was the key note speaker for the day. The scientific proceedings were announced during the inauguration by the eminent guests and speakers.
Prof. Shamala Subramaniam, Professor, Department of Communication Technology and Networks, Faculty of Computer Science and IT, University Putra Malaysia chaired the session I.
Prof. Rosita Ampoyas Hernani, Chair, Human Kinetics, Department at Cebu Normal University presented “Embracing Olympics 2021 Towards a Healthy and Active Society amidst Pandemic”.
Ms. Daphne, Sports Player, Prof. Dr. Oleksandr Krasilshchikov, Professor, School of Health Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Mrs. M.K.A.Anoma Rathnayaka, Senior Lecturer, Department of Sport Science and Physical Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka deliberated on varied topics.
The panel Discussion – I was chaired by Dr. Muhammad Arsyad Subu, Assistant Professor, Nursing, University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates Indonesia. The first panelist was Prof. Henry C. Daut, Dean, Philippine Sports Institute Philippine Sports Commission talked about that is “Youth Olympism and the Indigenous People: Are we doing enough?”
The second Panellist Dr. Lim Boon Hooi Associate Professor, Centre for Sport and exercise Sciences, University of Malaya, Kaula Lumpur, Malaysia has discussed on Psychological Skills Training Preparation in Competition Phase.
Dr. Muhammad Arsyad Subu, our third panellist focused on “Psychosocial Aspects among Athletes during Olympic Competitions”. The last speaker for Discussion-I was taken by Dr. Sanjana Kiran, Head, Sports Psychology, Abhinav Bindra Foundation Trust Singapore.
Session -II of the series was started with the talk by Prof. Ertan. Dr. Iskandar Zulkarnain was the second speaker of the session and gave his talk on Preparing Athlete's Immunity with Energy Medicine Exercise method in The Training Centre during Covid-19 Pandemic.
Prof. Syed Ibrahim took session on Ecosphere for Under Weight Athletes. Dr. Hario Tilarso sports physician from Indonesia delivered his session of knowledge on Sport Nutrition for Olympic Games Preparations.
Panel Discussion-II was chaired by Prof. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal and Head, University College of Physical Education, Osmania University, Telangana, President, International Federation of Physical Education, Fitness and Sports Science Associations.
The panelist for the session Dr. Igor Cruz, sports scientist from Brazil has presented on Aerobic preparation in intermittent Olympic Sports. Prof. Dr. GL Khanna, Pro Vice Chancellor, MRIIRS presented talk on Olympism and Higher Education.
