New Delhi Hindustan ab tak/Dinesh Bhardwaj : In Bollywood, the work of spreading social awareness has always been done through films. Be it Sachin Pilgaonkar and Ranjita’s superhit film ‘Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhe Se’, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajesh Khanna’s film ‘Anand’, Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai’s film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Another example is Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi’s film ‘Dil Bechara’, these films have played an important role in making people aware of cancer. Now director Shubhendu Raj Ghosh has also joined this list, whose directorial film ‘Before You Die…’ is ready to make people aware about a deadly disease like cancer. The film will release on February 18 this year on the occasion of ‘World Cancer Day’. The film had its red carpet premiere at Delhi’s PVR Vasant Kunj in which Producer & Writer Pradeep Chopra, Director Shubhendu Raj Ghosh and Puneet Raj Sharma attended.
The film, which has won many accolades at many film festivals, shows how a cancer patient and his entire family cope with this difficult time in the best way and sets a unique example through this. Actually, ‘Before You Die’ is a Romance Drama Hindi film, directed by Shubhendu Raj Ghosh. The film tells the story of a girl who is diagnosed with cancer and has a maximum of six months to live. How these six months pass even after death is near, this is what is shown in this story. It can be said that ‘Before You Die’ is completely different from ordinary Bollywood films.
The whole story of ‘Before You Die’ revolves around a girl played by Kavya Kashyap. She is suffering from cancer and knows that after a certain time he is going to die. So she wants to live the rest of her life in a better way and aspires to fulfill all her wishes. Pradeep Chopra is playing the role of her father and he also helps her to fulfill all the wishes of her daughter. The special thing is that this is Pradeep Chopra’s first film, but the helpless father of a cancer-stricken daughter has also died in the role. He has done a commendable job. Shot-by-shot his role shines through. Puneet Raj Sharma of Delhi played the lead role in the film. This is also his first film, so looks a bit crude, but since he has done it in theatre, it drags the character quite a bit. Now they need to work hard to move forward. The most important character is that of a bubbly girl suffering from cancer, which has been realized by Kavya Kashyap on screen. He has done full justice to his role. Especially, as she slowly moves towards her death, the audience’s sympathy automatically goes with her.
This is the second film of director Shubhendu Raj Ghosh. The film is really well made. The theme of the film is also very good. The only drawback is that its speed is a bit slow.
