Faridabad Hindustanabtak.com/Dinesh Bhardwaj : 22nd March Homerton Grammar School proudly hosted UDAAN – Early Years’ Convocation 2024-25, a grand celebration marking the transition of Upper KG students to Class I. The event, themed “Go Green with Prakriti,” emphasized sustainability and environmental awareness among young learners through engaging performances and décor inspired by nature.
The convocation was graced by Ms. Jasleen Kaur, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Faridabad, as the Chief Guest, who encouraged students to be responsible citizens and care for the environment from a young age. Dr. Dheerja Babbar, Group Head Physiotherapy, Sarvodaya Hospital & Research Centre, attended as the Guest of Honour, sharing insights on the importance of holistic and physical development in children.
The event was further enriched by the presence of eminent dignitaries from the Faridabad Progressive Schools’ Conference (FPSC), including Mr. T.S. Dalal (Chief Patron), Mr. Narendar Parmar (President), Mr. B.D. Sharma (Vice President), Mr. Bharat Bhushan (Treasurer), Mr. Y K Maheshwari (Executive Member), and Mr. Prayas Dalal (Director, Delhi Scholars International School).
The welcome address for the dignitaries, parents, and school management was delivered by Ms. Nandita Karayi, setting the tone for an inspiring and celebratory event.

The event featured a series of heart-warming music, dance, and drama performances, all beautifully aligned with the theme, promoting environmental responsibility. The highlight of the day was the convocation ceremony, where young graduates proudly received their degrees and merit certificates for excellence across various subjects.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Jasleen Kaur, IPS, applauded the school’s efforts in integrating sustainability into education, stating, “Teaching environmental responsibility from an early age is crucial for shaping future leaders who will care for our planet.”
Adding to this, Dr. Dheerja Babbar emphasized the importance of reducing digital device usage among children, saying, “Excessive screen time affects children’s posture and overall physical health. Encouraging an active lifestyle and limiting digital device usage is essential for their well-being and development.”
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Rajtheep Singh, President of Homerton Grammar School, who congratulated all the young graduates and expressed his gratitude to the dignitaries, parents, and teachers for their unwavering support in shaping the future of the students.
