Faridabad shall witness the largest international conference on ‘Environmental Challenges & Solutions’

Faridabad Hindustan ab tak/Dinesh Bhardwaj : 27 January Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, ShikshaSanskritiUthanNyas and Dakshina Foundation are jointly organizing one-of-the-largest International Conferences on ‘Environmental Challenges and Solutions’ bringing together more than 5000 scientists, environmentalists, biologists, economists, researchers, students and practitioners on a common platform from January 31- February 2,2020.  Key functionaries from the government, administration, UGC, AICTE, academic bodies, NGOs, industries, RWAs, religious organizations, educational institutes shall deliberate and discuss global environmental concerns over these three days.

Among the key highlights of the conference is the ‘Youth Jalsa’ where students will get the unique opportunity to pitch their ideas/projects focused towards the cause of protecting the environment. Best projects shall be shortlisted for grant from Manav Rachna Innovation and Incubation projects.Prizes worth Rs. 15 lakh shall be given away during the Youth Jalsa.The second day of the conference (February 1) shall witness many eminent environmentalists being bestowed with ‘Environment Excellence Awards’ by Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana.  50+ schools of Delhi NCR are also participating and submitting 200+ entries (paintings, posters or models) on the theme of environment. The shortlisted entries shall be at display at the grand exhibition arena of the conference. The winning entries shall be felicitated at the gala award ceremony.

Bringing together students from grades 6 to 9 ina first-of-its kind parliament on the environment, the conference shall see students emulate the roles of the various stakeholders of environment such as educationists, environmentalists, policy makers, industrialists, rag pickers, social workers, common man, among others to arrive at solutions to protect the environment.  More than 100 research papers across 7 major environment themes and 32 sub-themes have been received for the conference. Technical sessions by eminent panelists will be held over the three days.

The third day of the conference belongs to women who have impacted many lives and are working at the grass root level on the theme of the ‘PanchMahabhootaas’. Three women entrepreneurs shall be felicitated for their exemplary contribution to the environment. Women-led panel discussions and environment exhibits will be on display on the last day of the conference.
