Jayant Kastaur and group give a thunderous performance at Surajkund Mela

Faridabad Hindustan ab tak/Dinesh Bhardwaj : Jayant Kastuar cast a classical spell at Surajkund International Crafts Mela this evening with his stunning piece of Kathak performance before a spell bound audience.

The unmistakable classical poise and grace of Jayant Kastuar and the classical music transformed the amphitheatre into an arena of pure art. The audience was left stunned by the rhythm and grace that the entire group executed with utter finesse.  The maestro was accompanied by talented performers who gave solo kathak performaces as well and received equally roaring applause.

Jayant Kastuar and the is known for his commanding performance as a soloist of the old school and the performance today was nothing short of his reputation.  The different styles of kathak dance proved not only classical but an innovative as well . He is known for his wide range of innovative Gatnik and rendering of Bhava to Hindustani thumries or compositions of other traditions are highly acclaimed.

The audience were kept glued to their seats till the very end of the performance which was the most entertaining Jugalbandi between the musical and performing art. The show does not end here there are a bunch other classical performances lined up at the mela till the 15^th of February, 2020.
