Punjab Police’s cultural team preserving the cultural heritage of Punjab

Faridabad Hindustan ab tak/Dinesh Bhardwaj :In a press Conference the Punjab Police Cultural Troupe hosted the media fraternity and addressed the aim of the press conference to them. The cultural troupe aims to bring forth the Indian spirit of brotherhood that this cultural team spreads with their enthralling performances at various platforms.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri S.R. Sharma, Deputy Director, Punjab Police Cultural Wing said that with such a talented team we aim to revive the dying forms of Punjabi folk art. We are trying to change the mindset of the people and present the vastness of Punjabi performing arts and that they go beyond Bhangra and Gidha. The talent group performs many languishing arts like ‘ambi da Boota’ ‘Tere Bajre di Raakhi’ to even Qawwali of mystic punjabi origins.

The Punjab Police cultural team has performed in numerous platforms and festivals across the country like Baisaki Mela, Saras Mela, Geeta mahotsav and many more.
